Uneventful weeks

Well, Milo's life is really back to normal, plus his humans are pretty busy lately, which adds up to a boring existence for Milo. The most exciting thing (not in a good way, though) that happened to him yesterday is that he fell from the couch. At the moment it was not funny, but now that I write about, it actually is! He was lying on the couch taking a nap like usual (he does this all day long), and fell straight to the floor when he turned. I guess it shocked him since he stayed off the couch for about 2 hours.
It's getting cold in NY and the days and therefore his walks are getting shorter. He is still pretty excited when he goes out for his walks. He still barks a lot outside.
It's an odd bark. A neighbor pointed out that when you hear him, you expect to see an angry dog (he's bark is very loud and sounds serious), but then you look at him and see his wagging tail. The sound does not match the body language.

More theories

Here's one theory that explains the "random barking" at any time in any occasion : He just loves the sound of his voice ;)

I also like Tessa's explanation:
maybe he is just saying "coming through, coming through" so no one accidentally runs over him again

(he does seem to start barking when he is crossing big intersections)

What is all that barking?!?!?!

Milo keeps barking and I'm running out of theories to explain it. It's not that he has proved my theories wrong, but rather they just keep adding up.
One thing is for sure, I see a lot of dogs walking in Manhattan and NONE of them bark and walk/hop at the same time without a reason. There are a lot, specially the small ones, that bark AT other dogs, but Milo is not barking at anybody or anything... or so it seems.
There has been only one major change during the time when he began to increase the frequency of his barking... the amputation. And I'm not the only one saying that! And our neighbors from the 8th floor hear him when he starts barking outside!

Here are the theories:
I like the last theory best!
