A labrador's life in NYC after losing a leg. I know that in the long-run Milo will be fine. I started this blog because I did not know what to expect during the first few weeks after the amputation, and I hope this might be helpful to others who share the same concerns.
We took Milo to the park today for the first time since the accident. He was very excited and very very tired. I feel like I'm disobeying doctor's orders. He wants Milo to be crated. Milo wants to run to the park. We compromise and take a small walk to the park (3 blocks), rest for about 45 minutes, and walk back to the apartment. 
I'm a 5 year old handsome male chocolate labrador. I'm very friendly. I love to eat and to swim. Soy un labrador color cafe muy guapo y muy amigable. Adoro comer y nadar.
